The insignia of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has a tree as the central motif. A tree is an organic system, which is rooted and stands for firmness, poise, dignity, refuge, wisdom and a yearning to reach the sky. The emblem claims to be an adaptation of the Bodhi tree depicted on a panel in the iconic Sanchi Stupa complex. The Bodhi tree symbolises enlightenment to represent the association of Dr Ambedkar with Buddhism. Its acronym ‘AUD’ is superimposed on the tree to be read from four directions.

KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN The emblem of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has a rising sun with its golden rays resembling twelve flying birds supported by an open book in the National Tricolour. Below the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘तत् त्वं पूषन् अपावृणु’ (15, Shloka, Isavasyopanishad) meaning ‘O Pushan, that I, Truth’s devotee’ and at the bottom the name of the institution is written in Devanagari.
