The insignia of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has the Kakatiya Kala Thoranam in the with a backdrop of the map of the State of Telangana. In front of the arch a staff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes entwined by a pair of serpentes and a pair of wings supported by an open book is placed. The name and place of the university is written above the motifs. The Kakatiya Thoranam is featured in the official emblem of the State of Telangana. All these motifs are ensconced by a blue circular border which carries the name and place of the university. The seal is supported by a pair of laurels and below the seal, on a banner the motto of the university is inscribed in Telugu ‘సర్వే జనాః సుఖినో భవంతు’ meaning ‘May Everyone be Free from Diseases’. The Staff of Hermes denotes medicine and medical education; the book symbolises knowledge, education and wisdom and the laurels symbolise ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
