The emblem of Pratap University (PU) is a shield in brown and yellow tones holding a moustache and rising sun supporting an open book and its name. The brown shield has a yellow border. The brown moustache is inspired by the great Rajput warrior Maharana Pratap. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the open book denotes education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the rising sun symbolises ight, universal prosperity and path for growth; the colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity and the colour brown symbolises earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition.
