MAHARAJA GANGA SINGH UNIVERSITY

The circular emblem of Maharaja Ganga Singh University (MGSU) has the motifs of a traditional lamp with a swan in stem supported by its year of establishment, rising sun, satellite antenna, an open book and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वेषां भूषणं विद्या’ meaning ‘Education is the Best of All the Embellishments’ are housed in a circular border in orange colour. The border is inscribed with the name and place of the university in Devanagari and English. The rising sun symbolises ight, universal prosperity and path for growth; the traditional lamp denotes light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the antenna symbolises new age communication and connectivity and the open book symbolises education, learning, knowledge and wisdom.

The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

The circular emblem in orange and green has a gear wheel housing a pair of laurels and circle containing a map of India and its year of establishment ensconced by its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ on a green border. The motto of the college ‘கற்றனைத்தூறும் அறிவு’ (396, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed below the pictorial.
