The emblem of the Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University (CBPBU) has a blue circular panel holding the motifs of an open book supporting a conch or Shankh. Below this four cyan colour swooshes holds the name of the university in black. These four strokes represent the rivers of Teesta, Jaldhaka, Jorda, Kaljani, Raidak, Gadadhar and Ghargharia, which flow in Cooch Behar. The open book symbolises knowledge, education and wisdom; the conch or Shankh which is a sacred object in Hinduism and Buddhism and it is a symbol of Vishnu, the God of Preservation and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
