The emblem of Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University (JVWU) has its acronym ‘JVW’ depicted as a monogram with a flame atop ‘J’ is ensconced by a green circular border with white and green outlines, which bears the name of the university. Below the seal the slogan in Devanagari ‘बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ’ meaning ‘Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child’ and ‘Estd. 2008’ are written. The flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the colour green denotes agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
