GATI SHAKTI VISHWAVIDYALAYA

Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) is India’s first university focussed on transport and logistics related education, multidisciplinary research and training. Established in 2018 as NRTI, a Deemed to be University under De Novo category, it was converted to a Central University and rechristened as Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India in 2022. Its emblem has a steam rail engine, a mortarboard hat, a globe, a book, Its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानस्याभ्यासं कुरु’meaning ‘Practice of Knowledge’ and its year of establishment. These are ensconced by a circular rail track and surrounded by its name and at the bottom its official status. Rail engine symbolises one of the major forms of transport, mortarboard symbolises knowledge attainment in the chosen field, globe represents universal application of knowledge and open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom.

VISHWAS CO-OP BANK LTD, NASHIK The blue colour pictorial logo of Vishwas Co-op Bank Ltd, Nashik has an eight petal lotus housing the letter ‘V’ in two overlapping triangles. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘संचयात् समृद्धिः’ meaning ‘Prosperity Through Savings’ supports the pictorial. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty  and the colour blue signifies  serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

BIOGAS PROGRAMME The word mark logo of Biogas Programme has biogas written in green and black with the letter ‘O’ shown as a pair of leaves in orange and green with an electrical plug. The green leaf refers to energy from biological sources and the orange leaf refers to the derived energy and the plug refers to the generation and tapping of electricity. The black colour refers to the biological fuel.

BURDWAN UNIVERSITY Burdwan University is a State University which was established on June 15, 1965. The circular emblem of this university has a gear wheel with sixteen teeth holding the motif of a decorative column standing on a lotus pedestal and supported on either side by scroll designs. These are ensconced by a border on which the name of the university is inscribed in Devanagari and Bengali. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation, timing, order and structure and the decorated column signifies dharma and being virtuous.

COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY The emblem of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUST) features a rising sun and coconut palm, which represent the birth of a new centre of learning in Kerala. The book represents learning, the factory represents its application and the transmission tower represents its dissemination. The motto in Malayalam ‘തെജസ്വി നാവധിതമസ്തു’ (Shanti Mantra, Katha Upanishad) meaning ‘May the wisdom accrued deify us both – the teacher and the taught - and percolate to the universe in its totality’ is written on the circular border and on the platform supporting the logo has its name inscribed on it.

KUSHABHAU THAKRE PATRAKARITA AVAM JANSANCHAR VISHWAVIDYALAYA The red, black and green circular insignia of Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar Vishwavidyalaya (KTPAJV) has motifs of ektara and clatter (khadtal) of Rishi Narada who is considered as a communicator is placed on the map of the State of Chhattisgarh placed above the globe, depicting the State as a centre of learning. The map is in green colour to symbolise the State as ‘Rice Bowl’.  Its name and motto in Devanagari are inscribed in the border, which ensconces the motifs. The motto in Sanskrit ‘भद्रं नो अपि वातय मनो दक्षमुत क्रतुम’ (10.25.1, Rig Veda) meaning ‘Oh God, Fill Our Souls with Auspicious Deeds and Fill Our Intellect with Pious Thoughts’.
