The history of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. (TMB) originally registered on May 11, 1921, as Nadar Bank Limited, under the Indian Companies Act, 1913. It has its headquarters in Thoothukudi, Tamilnadu, India. It changed its name to Tamilnad Mercantile Bank in November 1962 to widen its appeal beyond the Nadar community. The logo of the bank features the letters ‘TMB’ in blue and pink colours, with the bank's name written on its right in blue. RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
