The design incorporates elements that represent the nation's identity and its connection to the sea. The ship represents India's maritime industry, including its ports, shipping, and waterways. It signifies the country's commitment to developing a modern and self-reliant maritime ecosystem. The saffron, white, and green colors on the ship's superstructure are the colors of the Indian national flag, highlighting the event's focus on national growth and strategic autonomy. The blue waves beneath the ship represent the oceanic sphere and India's deep connection to it. The color blue is also associated with success and growth. The name of the event is written on the right.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
