D.Y. PATIL UNIVERSITY

The D.Y. Patil University (Institution Deemed to be University) was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide MHRD notification No: F.9-26/2004-U-3 dated September 1, 2005. The emblem of the university is a nib of a pen in reddish brown colour with an open book at the end of the split of the nib, which is surrounded by a rising sun. The upper portion of the nib is shaped like a shield and has black outline. The nib symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book denotes knowledge and wisdom and the rising sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth. The reddish brown colour symbolises being solid, resilience, dependability, security and safety.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘Full or Complete Vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. The name and logo for the unique numbers to be issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) have been developed keeping in mind the transformational potential of the programme. Together, they communicate the essence and spirit of the UIDAI's mandate to people across the country. The design, which has been selected as the logo for Aadhaar, is a sun in red and yellow, with a fingerprint traced across its centre. The logo effectively communicates the vision for Aadhaar. It represents a new dawn of equal opportunity for each individual, a dawn which emerges from the unique identity the number guarantees for each individual. The logo was designed by Atul S. Pande of Pune and is selected through a competition in the year 2010.

The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.
