SHRI GOVIND GURU UNIVERSITY

Shri Govind Guru University (SGGU), Godhra was established as a teaching and affiliating university by Act Number 24 of September 16, 2015 of Government of Gujarat. Its emblem has a vessel - poorna kumbha in which orange, cyan and blue swooshes flow in and blue and yellow humans come out, symbolising the multifaceted input and the turning around of enlightened humans. The poorna kumbha has a swastika along with other decorations. These are ensconced in an orange circular border which carries its name supported by two dots. At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘अमृतम् तु विद्या’ meaning ‘The Nectar is Education’ is inscribed on a banner. The swastika symbolises well being; poorna kumbha - full pot signifies abundant prosperity in a traditional agriculture based economy and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.
