The Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (SDUAHER) university is located at Tamaka village, Kolar and is spread over almost one hundred acres. The red, green, blue and cyan logo of the university has a pair of hands holding a pair of fresh green shoots of leaves supporting a motif of blooming a human, ensconced by three concentric radiating curved lines. This is topped by is motto ‘Knowledge for Prosperity’ and at the bottom its acronym SDUAHER is written.

The cyan, green and red emblem of the university has a plaque with rising sun above flowing waters supported by two palm trees and crested its motto in Arabic ‘طلب العلم فريضة’ meaning ‘Seeking Knowledge is an Obligation’. It is circumscribed by its name in Arabic and Devanagari in green and cyan. At the bottom, on a banner its year of establishment is written. The rising sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the palm trees symbolise peace, abundance and victory and the flowing waters denote passage of time and life.
