Inspired by the ideals of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, Sri Aurobindo University (SAU) is promoted by Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) Society and Bhandari Group of Hospitals and Institutions (BGHI). Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) Society was started Dr. Vinod Bhandari & his wife Dr. Manjushree Bhandari in 2003. The emblem of the university is a revolving globe with longitude and latitudinal line on a cyan coloured square with a white swoosh. The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness. The emblem depicts the globe in a dynamic state, which constantly evolves and revolves in a vibrant manner. Cyan is a relaxing and inspiring colour that evokes images of crystal waters and is normally associated with liveliness, tranquillity, youth and energy. It is made of green and blue and represents rationality and cleanliness. Below the pictorial its name is written and at the bottom its motto ‘Vision with Action’ is written.

The circle is supported by a pair of laurels. The one with the mortarboard hat is the teacher and the other one is the student; the book refers to the knowledge and education imparted by the faculty in the college; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the colour brown signifies the earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The logo of the university has two strokes of orange and green forming the shape of ‘U’ in tricolour and has a ‘Ashoka Chakra’ at its top. This is supported by an open book on which images of an atom and a burning candle are depicted. Its name is written in Urdu atop the emblem on a banner; written in Devanagari on a banner above the logo and in English at its bottom. The book represents knowledge and education; the atom denotes science and the candle denotes light and guidance to discover the unknown.

The gearwheel ; the chinar leaf refers to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir; the atom refers to science, engineering and technology; the torches with flames are emblems of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the colour blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. The motto is written in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. Inside the border, motifs of a drum, supported by a pair of horns; an open book topped by a red sun ; a banyan tree and a pair of crests of millets are placed. The banyan tree symbolises strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity; the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the open book denotes knowledge, education, wisdom and learning and horns, drum and crests of millets denote tribal culture and food.

The gearwheel is ensconced by a circular border with brown outlines inscribed with the name and place of the college. The seal is supported by a pair of laurels. The motto of the college in Sanskrit in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written on a green banner with red outlines. The ‘i’s are topped with a gear wheel and  red circle symbolising industrial production and productivity. The letters ‘S’ and ‘R’ are written like a pen to denote research and reporting. GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, BIJBEHARA (GDC BIJBEHARA) The emblem of Government Degree College, Bijbehara (GDC Bijbehara) features a green chinar leaf supporting an open book inscribed with an Arabic text ‘خَيْرُ جَلِيسٍ فِي الزَّمَانِ كِتَابُ’, which translates to ‘The Best Companion in Time is a Book’ and supporting a lighted candle and ensconced by a yellow circular border inscribed with the name, place and motto of the college. The motto in Urdu ‘زندگی شمع کی صورت ہو خدایا میری’, which translates to ‘O God! May My Life Be Like That of a Candle’. The chinar leaf refers to Jammu and Kashmir, the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the lighted candle symbolises enlightenment and the removal of darkness (ignorance), representing how knowledge guides a student's path and spreads light into society.
