Inspired by the ideals of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, Sri Aurobindo University (SAU) is promoted by Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) Society and Bhandari Group of Hospitals and Institutions (BGHI). Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) Society was started Dr. Vinod Bhandari & his wife Dr. Manjushree Bhandari in 2003. The emblem of the university is a revolving globe with longitude and latitudinal line on a cyan coloured square with a white swoosh. The globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness. The emblem depicts the globe in a dynamic state, which constantly evolves and revolves in a vibrant manner. Cyan is a relaxing and inspiring colour that evokes images of crystal waters and is normally associated with liveliness, tranquillity, youth and energy. It is made of green and blue and represents rationality and cleanliness. Below the pictorial its name is written and at the bottom its motto ‘Vision with Action’ is written.

VALLABHACHARYA TILAK The tilak of Vallbhacharyas is said to consist of two white lines down the forehead, forming a half-circle at its base and a white dot between them. Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was a devotional philosopher, who founded the Pushti sect in India, following the philosophy of ‘Shuddha Advaita’ (Pure Non-dualism). THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY India's first Light Infantry was born out of the peoples' response in 1947, to the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan. In the difficult days of the invasion, the population formed local defence groups. These were later organised into militias responsible for specific sectors, e.g., Leh, Nubra, Jammu, Punch, etc. Over a period, these were grouped into the Militia battalions. Two of these were later converted into the Ladakh Scouts. The militia battalions operated with skill on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the 1971 Indo-Pak War earned three battle honours. In 1972, the militia battalions were brought on par with the army units, and in 1976 designated the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). The 8th JAK LI earned great honour by capturing a Pakistani post at 21,000 feet at the Siachen Glacier in 1987. MAHATMA GANDHI CHITRAKOOT GRAMODAY VISHWAVIDYALAYA The emblem of Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday Vishwavidyalaya (MGCGV) has a crown of wheat supported by the footwear of Mahatma Gandhi with a rising sun in the background. These are supported by a partial wheel of gear, in the counter of which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विश्वं ग्रामे प्रतिष्टितम्' meaning 'The World is Established from the Village' is inscribed. The crown of wheat symbolises agriculture and village produce; the pair of footwear of Mahatma denote that the university follows in the footsteps of his ideals; the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the gear wheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.

BUREAU OF POLICE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT The Government of India vide Resolution No.8/136/68-P.I (Pers.I) dated 28.08.1970 formally established the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), under the Ministry of Home Affairs giving a new orientation to then existing Police Research and Advisory Council in 1966 with the primary objective of modernization of police force: 1. to take direct and active interest in the issues, 2. to promote a speedy and systematic study of the police problems and 3. to apply science and technology in the methods and techniques used by police.
