TAMILNADU PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS UNIVERSITY

The Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University (TNPESU) established by an Act of the Government of Tamilnadu in 2004, is unique and the first of its kind in India as an affiliatory university, exclusively for physical education and sports. After obtaining the accent from the President of India on August 5, 2005, the Act came into force with effect from September 15, 2005. The emblem of the university has a shield with red border lines and a female and male athletes, each running on a track, supported by an open book symbolising knowledge and wisdom.On both the sides of these pictograms of different track field actions are depicted. At the top the name of the university is written in Tamil and English. Below the shield on a violet banner its motto is written in Tamil ‘உடற்கல்வியியல் மற்றும் விளையாட்டில் செம்மை’ and English ‘Excellence in Physical Education and Sports’. The shield signifies protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The weighing scales with the twin balance pans symbolise equity, fairness, objectivity and truth; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; the figures holding hands directly atop the scale beam highlights unity, collaboration, teamwork and community integration.
