Rukmani Ammal Educational Trust was established in the year 1994 at Sembodai in Nagapattinam District by Dr. R. Varatharajan to cater to the needs of the poor and downtrodden for providing better education. Sembodai R.V. Polytechnic College (SRVPC) was founded by him in 1997. The emblem of the polytechnic in green colour has a flask ensconced in a gear wheel and topped by an electrical transmission tower. All these are circumscribed by a green border which bears its name and place. At the bottom of htis its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ is written. All the motifs represent the branches of engineering taught in this polytechnic.

ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE HINDI VISHWAVIDYALAYA Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (ABVHV) was established on December 19, 2011 by Madhya Pradesh Act No. 34, 2011. The orange and red emblem of the university has a monogram using its Devanagari acronym in white colour placed on a red circle and circumscribed by a snake. These are ensconced by a circular border in orange colour with red outline bearing the name of the university in Devanagari and a pair of horns of deer and its year of establishment.
