SYMBIOSIS SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY

Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (formerly as Symbiosis Skills and Open University) Pune, Maharashtra, India. Established by the Symbiosis Open Education Society on May 3, 2017, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University is the first skill building and development university in the state of Maharashtra. The red colour emblem of SSPU is in the form of a gear wheel, supporting a circular border bearing its name and place that circumscribes the logo of the parent Symbiosis supported by its motto in Sanskrit ‘वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्’meaning ‘The World is One Family’ and these are placed inside a nib of a pen. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness, efficiency and precision, progress and advancement, synchronisation and timing and order and structure; the nib signifies, communication, creativity, power, knowledge, thought and written word. The colour red represents passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. DARBHANGA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (DCE DARBHANGA) The emblem of Darbhanga College of Engineering (DCE Darbhanga) features a gearwheel inscribed with the name of the college and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’. Inside the gear lies a dynamic combination of industrial equipment and technical structures, signifying active research, production, and technological innovation. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

These motifs are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Devanagari and English.
