SRM University - AP, Andhra Pradesh (SRM-AP), is a multi-disciplinary research intensive institute combining academic rigour, evolving research ecosystem, entrepreneurial heritage and pioneering faculty. The university was founded in Amaravati in 2017. The emblem of the university has a motif of a fully grown tree in olive with some of the leaves in orange placed on a glowing light green circle and ensconced by a dark green border with its name inscribed on it. The tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything.

At the bottom, a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘‘கற்றனைத் தூறும் அறிவு’ (Thiruvalluvar, 396, Thirukkural) meaning ‘Knowledge Grows As Much As One Learns’ is inscribed is placed on the seal. Athiyaman and Avvaiyar refer to history and heritage; the book, sun and the humans refer to education and educational achievement; the tree refers to nature, sustenance and growth; the computer refers to technology; and the dam refers to the local landmark.
