SHOBHIT UNIVERSITY

Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET), Deemed to be University known as Shobhit University was established on November 8, 2006. The emblem of the university was conceptualised by Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra and designed by Raashid Rangrez. The circle which has no beginning and end is a universal symbol and represents the notion of totality, wholeness, perfection, the self, the infinite, the eternity and the timelessness in cyclic movement. The outermost boundary of the circle has scalloped shaped edges in yellow ochre. The curves of the scallops depict cupped hands ready to receive the benediction of knowledge from the universe and the eight points represent the eight directions. The depiction signifies receiving the light of the sun from the universe. Light is symbolic of knowledge, goodwill and good fortune. Enclosed within the outer ring is a map of the world in the colour green. Green is the colour of prosperity. Superimposed on the world map is a white ‘U’ which stands for both universe and university. Within the ‘U’ is an orange ‘S’ which stands for Shobhit in the shape of a flame - the flame of knowledge as well as the flame of passion to spread knowledge. Orange or saffron is the colour of valour as well as spirituality. The colours of the Shobhit University logo echo the Indian tricolour. Between the outer scallops and the inner circle with the map of the world is a white ring in which are inscribed the name and its motto in Sanskrit taken from a verse in the Kathopanishad, ‘तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु’, which translates as ‘May Knowledge Illuminate Us Both’.

CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH BIHAR Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), Gaya, India, is one among fifty four such universities of the Central Government. It was established as Central University of Bihar (CUB) and the name since changed by the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2014 to Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). The Executive Council of the Central University of Bihar passed a resolution and accepted the logo of the university on November 20, 2010. The new logo of the university came into existence in August, 2018. The logo of the University is an adaptation of a peepal tree symbolising the rich culture of Bihar. It is a visual identity of the university representing education, wisdom and enlightenment. RAJASTHAN UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) was established under the Act of State Government The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Act, 2005 (Act No. 1 of 2005) on February 25, 2005. The emblem of the university is circular and made up of elements in yellow, orange and red shades. 8 MOUNTAIN DIVISION The 8 Mountain Division was raised in 1963 to combat insurgency in Nagaland. The Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare (CIJW) School was established at Vairangte, Mizoram to impart pre-induction training to all the incoming units. Towards the end of the 1960s, this Division had well over thirty battalions under command, including those of the Assam Rifles and the other Central Police Organisations. The formation badge and sleeve patch of this Division has numeral 8 in gold with red dagger through the centre on black background.

VIT BHOPAL UNIVERSITY VIT Bhopal University is a private university in Kothri Kalan in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established by the Vellore Institute of Technology. The blue colour emblem of VIT is the Sri Jalakandeswarar temple, located within Vellore Fort. Its gopuram and walls are prominent in this circular emblem with ‘VIT’ written above. This is ensconced in a circular border on which the name is written. At the bottom, on a banner, its motto is written in Tamil ‘உழைப்பே உயர்வுதரும்’ meaning ‘Only Labour shall Elevate’ is written. SIDO KANHU MURMU UNIVERSITY The erstwhile Sido Kanhu University (SKU), now rechristened Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU) was founded on January 10, 1992 by an act of Bihar Legislative Assembly. With the formation of the State of Jharkhand in 2000 the university comes under the new State Government of Jharkhand. The circular emblem of the university has a stem of tendu with three leaves surrounded by a swan, palash flower, mahua flower bud and its motto in Sanskrit ‘नीरक्षीरविवेकिनी  विद्या’ meaning ‘Education to Discriminate Water and Milk’. These are ensconced by a circle which bears its name in Devanagari and English and its year of establishment. At the bottom, the traditional drum used by the tribal population is placed. All these are circumscribed by a traditional running design of the locale. NETAJI SUBHAS UNIVERSITY The red colour insignia of the Netaji Subhas University (NSU) has a shield holding a traditional lamp above which the acronym and place of the university are placed. The shield has a thick border. The top portion of the shield has another border ending as banners on either side carry the year of establishment of the university. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and the colour red signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
