SPICER ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY

Spicer Adventist University (SAU), Pune, is part of the global Seventh-day Adventist System of Education consisting of fifty two universities, hundreds of colleges, seminaries and thousands of schools spread all over the world. SAU established vide Maharashtra Act XIV of 2014, is the second self-financing private university and the first Christian Minority Institution in the State of Maharashtra is located on a sixty acre campus. The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate course and other programmes (SAU).  

The  emblem of the university consists of an open book - Bible, written around in Latin with ‘Amor Vincit Omnia’ meaning ‘Love Conquers All’, which is ensconced by a wavy blue border which carries its name and country divided by a pair of stars. This is kept above a torch which stands in the background symbolising the duty to humanity as ‘We are the light of the world to lead others to God’ (Matthew 5:16). These are supported by a pair of laurels of green foliage to denote hope, prosperity, peace and healing. At the bottom, a blue banner bears its motto ‘He Shall Teach You All Things’ (John 14.26).

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KURUKSHETRA National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its brown colour emblem is a gear wheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION AUTHORITY OF INDIA -AADHAAR The brand name of the Unique Identification Number (UID) is Aadhaar. The name and logo for the unique numbers to be issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) have been developed keeping in mind the transformational potential of the programme. Together, they communicate the essence and spirit of the UIDAI's mandate to people across the country. The design, which has been selected as the logo for Aadhaar, is a sun in red and yellow, with a fingerprint traced across its centre. The logo effectively communicates the vision for Aadhaar. It represents a new dawn of equal opportunity for each individual, a dawn which emerges from the unique identity the number guarantees for each individual. The logo was designed by Atul S. Pande of Pune and is selected through a competition in the year 2010.

VVCE is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.

SYMBIOSIS SOCIETY Symbiosis Society is a Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950 and a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, having its registered office at Senapati Bapat Road, Pune in India. Its motto is 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakkam’ meaning ‘World is one Family’. In 2002, the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India conferred the 'Deemed to be University' status on Symbiosis. Its insignia in red colour has an emblem and its name written in sans serif capital letters with thick and thin strokes. The emblem is a globe tightly hugged by a stylized ‘S’, with its motto ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ written in Sanskrit. Adjacent to this is its name written.
