SRI SRI UNIVERSITY

Sri Sri University (SSU) was established on December 26, 2009 and started functioning from 2012. The university was envisioned by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The Art of Living Programme is an integral part of the curriculum at the university. The circular seal of the university in brown colour houses a golden colour tree with trunks, branches and birds, which is ensconced by a white border. The top half of the border its name is inscribed and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सत्यं ज्ञानं अनन्थम् ब्रह्म’ meaning ‘True Knowledge is the Infinite Brahman’ is written in the bottom half. These two are separated by a pair of flying birds. The tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything; birds denote freedom of thought, imagination and greater vision; the colour brown signifies the earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition and the colour gold symbolises wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

It is ensconcing a circle which refers to earth and the cyclical nature of life; the contrasting white and yellow refer to day and night and time; the vertical tilted line refers to the axis of earth; the encompassing square denotes 'Vasthu Purusha Mandala’ and the circle and square denote the basic shapes used in architecture. Overall the emblem represents ‘World is Here and Within’ and ‘Earth is Our Boundary’.

CENTRAL HINDI DIRECTORATE The red colour emblem of Central Hindi Directorate (CHD) is a flower with thirteen petals with two leaves. The petals carry one letter from each of thirteen languages of Bharat. The centre of the flower has two concentric red circles surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘अहं राष्ट्री संगवाणी वसूनां’ meaning ‘I am the Medium for Nation’s Conversation’ and supported by its name in Devanagari. It represents Hindi playing a central role as an Official Language of Bharat.
