Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) is a Deemed to be University since November 10, 1981. The university has four campuses. The emblem has the lotus pillar of Prasanthi Nilayam symbolising six chakras of yogic discipline; with a backdrop of a rising sun symbolising light, universal prosperity and path for growth and a panel carrying the words ‘Prasanthi Nilayam’ and a scroll pattern. The dark cerulean colour of the logo is the colour of the sky and it symbolises being light and airy, calmness and serenity. The circle is circumscribed by its name on top and by Its motto in Sanskrit ‘सत्यं वद धर्मं चर’ meaning ‘Speak the Truth and Practise Righteousness’ is inscribed below the circle.
