It is surrounded by a circular border in yellow ochre colour which carries its name, status and its motto ‘Inspiring Generations’. It is supported by a pair of laurels of green leaves. The globe symbolises education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; The women and men are the students and other stakeholders and the laurels of green leaves symbolise hope, prosperity, peace and healing. Laurels are symbols of victory and achievement. They are often used in awards ceremonies and they are also a popular choice for graduation ceremonies and are a reminder of the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve success. Yellow ochre is an earthy colour and it symbolises being down to earth and life.
