TAMILNADU TEACHERS EDUCATION UNIVERSITY

The Government of Tamil Nadu enacted Act No.(33) of 2008 to provide for the establishment and incorporation of Tamilnadu Teachers Education University (TTEU) in the State of Tamil Nadu for promoting excellence in teachers education, which came into effect from July 1, 2008. The yellow, green and blue emblem of TTEU consists of a crest with a ribbon with a shield in the centre of the crest. The shield is divided into three parts, which depicts the three major domains of education namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The first domain has the satellite antenna which depicts the communication and transmission. The second has the computer which denotes innovation and technology. The third has the teacher with students which describes psychology, sociology and management. Around the shield, the name of the University is imprinted in Tamil in a circle. In the ribbon the motto of the university 'ஓதி உணர்ந்து பிறர்க்கு உரை' is imprinted in Tamil, which means ‘Study Learn and Teach Others’.

The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

BLACK DIAMOND COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (BDCET) The orange colour emblem of Black Diamond College of Engineering and Technology (BDCET) features the motifs of an open book, a mortarboard hat, a satellite dish antenna, a computer, an electrical and an electrical transmission tower ensconced by a partial gearwheel and a partial circle. The name of the college circumscribes the gearwheel. On a grey banner, placed at the bottom the initials of the college ‘BDCET’ is inscribed. INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES CENTRES AUTHORITY The circular emblem of International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has its initials ‘IFSCA’ in blue sans serif with the horizontal stroke of ‘F’ in National Tricolours placed on a grey coloured globe ensconced by a white circular border with a pair of grey outlines  inscribed with its name. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
