THUNCHATH EZHUTHACHAN MALAYALAM UNIVERSITY

Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University (TEMU) was established by the Government of Kerala on November 1, 2012. Its emblem is a green colour line drawing of a bird taking off crested by a purple circular line holding its motto ‘ശ്രേഷ്ഠം മലയാളം’ meaning ‘Malayalam is the Best’. This motif is supported by two horizontal purple lines. At the bottom, the name of the university is written in Malayalam. A flying bird means good fortune, abundance, progress and prosperity; the colour purple denotes power, authority, opulence, luxury, creativity and imagination and the colour green signifies life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature.
