SACRED HEART COLLEGE (SCHTPT)

The emblem of Sacred Heart College (SCHTPT) features a red and blue shield with copper colour outlines and a copper banner below. The shield houses the motifs of a cross with a bleeding heart circumscribed by ring of thorns and supporting a cross; an open book inscribed with text in Latin ‘AD Omne Opus BONUM INST-Ructi’ meaning ‘Instructed for Every Good Work’; and a white lotus. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the heart on the cross is the Heart of Jesus who was crucified; the book refers to the knowledge that the college imparts; the lotus stands for purity and integrity; the ring of thorns around the Heart tells that the Heart of Jesus loves even to the point of suffering; the colour red refers to blood; and the colour blue denotes Blessed Virgin Mary.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. Mysore State was the predecessor to Karnataka State, which was created on November 1, 1965. Sri. L. Rickets was appointed as first Inspector General of Police. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. The recycle emblem and the graduate are separated by a pair of downward flowing ribbons. Below the gear, the year of establishment of the university is written.
