The circular emblem of Tamil Nadu Government M.G.R Film and Television Institute (FTIT) features the motifs of a film strip wrapping around a camera or projector-like device placed on a stage with stage or podium lights. Its motto ‘High & Higher’ is written on the edge of the filmstrip. The motifs are ensconced by a broad circular golden border inscribed with the name and place of the Institute.
