Magdum College of Engineering (JJMCOE) features a falcon landing on a gearwheel inscribed with the name of the managing Trust, holding the motifs of a ‘+’ sign, a roof of a house and a computer. The initials of the college in red and black overlapping letters are placed at the bottom. The falcon symbolises the culmination of a powerful journey, representing focused arrival, grounded power, achieved vision, transition, and spiritual insight, shifting from soaring freedom to poised strength, mastery, or a message of protection and kingship, spiritual guidance, signifying one has attained a higher perspective and is ready to act with clarity; the gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; and the other symbols refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

The Staff is supported by green mountains with orange rising sun and its motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानम् जीवनम् च प्रति’ meaning ‘Towards Knowledge and Life’. These are ensconced by a blue circle around which its name is written. This is supported by a pair of laurels. Below these motifs its acronym is written. The laurels refer to success, hard work and perseverance; the green mountains and the rising sun refer to the Northeastern region and the Staff refers to medicine and the medical profession.

THE BIHAR REGIMEN The Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim influences intermingled to produce a soldiery which was traditionally arms bearing, disciplined and deeply religious. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion. Its Regimental motto is ‘Karam Hi Dharam’ (Work is Worship) and its war cry is ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ (Victory to Bajrang Bali)and ‘Birsa Munda Ki Jai’ (Victory to Birsa Munda).
