The emblem of Aavalurpettai Arts & Science College (AASC) features a golden shield holding the motifs of a lotus and flames and a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘கற்போம்! கற்பிப்போம்!’ meaning ‘Let’s Learn! Let’s Teach!’. The motifs are surmounted by the name and place of the college. The shield refers to protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; and the flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power.
