Below the seal, on a banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உண்மை உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Truth Hard Work Progress’ is inscribed. The balance scale with books symbolise justice, fairness, and the idea that knowledge and education are the means to achieve balance and truth; and the lamp symbolises  knowledge, enlightenment, and learning. The laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
