The emblem of the Government Arts and Science College, Kadaladi (GASC Kadaladi) features a balance scale and books on the panes and a traditional lamp ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college a pair of laurels. Below the seal, on a banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘உண்மை உழைப்பு உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Truth Hard Work Progress’ is inscribed. The balance scale with books symbolise justice, fairness, and the idea that knowledge and education are the means to achieve balance and truth; and the lamp symbolises  knowledge, enlightenment, and learning. The laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

INDIAN GRAPE PROCESSING BOARD Keeping the above in mind and to co-ordinate the efforts for promotion and development of the wine industry in India in close association with industry, producers and other stakeholders, the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on January 2, 2009 gave its approval for the establishment of the Indian Grape Processing Board (IGPB) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Board has its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra that is close to the principal grape growing and processing areas in the country.
