The shield-shaped emblem of Aditanar College of Arts & Science Tiruchendur (ACAS) features the image of the gopuram of Sri Subramania Swamy Temple, Tiruchendur on the shores of Bay of Bengal, a sailboat and a glowing sun. The name of the college is written on a banner placed above the shield and the motto of the college is inscribed on a banner placed below the shield. The motto in Tamil reads ‘அறிவு ஆற்றல் அறம்’ meaning Knowledge Power Virtue’. The shield denotes valour, courage, strength, support and protection; temple symbolises divine blessings and guidance; the boat refers to fishing and fisherfolk; and the sun  represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, RANCHI (GP RANCHI) The purple emblem of Government Polytechnic, Ranchi (GP Ranchi) features a gearwheel housing the motifs of a factory with chimneys, mining towers and trees. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written on a banner placed below the gearwheel. The gearwheel is a universal symbol of mechanical engineering, industrial progress and automation; the factory symbolises manufacturing, manufacturing plants, and heavy engineering production. It honors the rich mineral and industrial baseline of the Ranchi and Jharkhand regions; the mining towers represent core infrastructure sectors such as civil engineering, mining and oil extraction; and the trees are silhouettes of local trees, recognising the natural landscape of Jharkhand (which translates to ‘The Land of Forests’.

The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure.
