The orange colour emblem of Adhiparasakthi College of Education (APCED) features a globe with the image of Sri Bangaru Adigalar, an open book, a hand holding a torch with flame, and a computer and the tagline of the college ‘Om Sakthi One Mother One Culture’. The motifs are ensconced by a decorative circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘Study Spirituality Service’ is inscribed. The globe and Adigalar refer to the global reach of the institution; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the computer refers to science and technology.

DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology.
