GOVERNMENT THIRUVANNAMALAI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL (GTMCH)

The emblem of Government Thiruvannamalai Medical College and Hospital (GTMCH) features the motifs of renowned Sri Annamalaiyar Temple with Annamalai Hill and Kartigai Deepam supported by the Staff of Hermes or Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents. These motifs are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college ‘Enlighten Healing’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the seal. The Sri Annamalaiyar Temple with Annamalai Hill and Kartigai Deepam are the historical and well-known landmarks of the city of Tiruvannamalai. The staff with the snake has long been a symbol of medicine and the medical profession.

Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology. RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written.
