The motto of the college in Tamil ‘கல்வி உழைப்பு மனிதநேயம்’ meaning ‘Education Labour Humanity’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the shield. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gopuram symbolises divine blessings and guidance; the paddy field refers to agriculture and irrigation; and the inscription symbolises the history, heritage and civilization.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES JODHPUR All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur) is one of the six new AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. Its circular insignia in gold and blue has the traditional symbol of the Caduceus to represent medicine. This symbol derives from Hermes or Mercury, the winged messenger and a staff intertwined by two snakes. It is crested by its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरमयाः’, meaning ‘Let them all be Free of Illness’ and below this it is supported by a pair of laurels.
