The emblem of Adhiyaman College of Education for women (AdhiyamanCOE) features an image of king Adhiyaman with poet Avvaiyaar ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. Below the seal, on a red banner, the motto of the college ‘Prosper and Help Others to Prosper’ is inscribed. The image symbolises Adhiyaman Neduman Anji (a 1st-century CE chieftain of Thagadoor, modern Dharmapuri) and the renowned Tamil poet Avvaiyar shared a famous, deep bond of friendship and mutual respect. As a dedicated patron, Adhiyaman gifted Avvaiyar a rare, immortal Nellikani (gooseberry) fruit, enabling her to live longer and continue serving Tamil literature.

EMBLEM OF HARYANA The state of Haryana was split from Punjab state on November 1,1966. The main part of the actual state was ceded to the East India Company in 1803. In 1832 it was added to the Northwest Provinces and in 1858 to Punjab to which it belonged until 1966. In the centre of the state the Principality of Jind was located.
