This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of its establishment. The lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; and the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

MANIPUR UNIVERSITY OF CULTURE The Manipur University of Culture (MUC) was established in 2015 by the Government of Manipur through the Manipur University of Culture Bill, 2015. The university started its academic sessions from September 20, 2016. Currently it offers graduate courses in  dance, music, sankirtana, Umang Lai Haraoba, Thang-Ta, theatre, tribal studies and visual arts and it has plans to offer postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the coming years.
