The emblem of Coimbatore Medical College (CMC) features the Staff of Hermes or Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents supported by a pair of laurels on sides and a banner at the bottom inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Assurance Dedication Pride’. The name of the college is written on the right. The staff with the snake has long been a symbol of medicine and the medical profession; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

The cyan, green and red emblem of the university has a plaque with rising sun above flowing waters supported by two palm trees and crested its motto in Arabic ‘طلب العلم فريضة’ meaning ‘Seeking Knowledge is an Obligation’.
