The emblem of Pradnya Niketan Education Society's Nagesh Karajagi Orchid College of Engineering & Technology (NKOCET) features a yellow circle with a red abstract human figure with raised arms supported by two pairs of green stalks. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge is One That Liberates’ is placed on the left of the circle and its tagline ‘Learning Liberates’ is placed on the right of the circle. The figure within the yellow circle represents a liberated individual, reaching their full potential, or celebrating freedom achieved through learning, which aligns with the school's mission of holistic education and nurturing resilience and leadership. The yellow circle symbolises the sun, representing knowledge, enlightenment, and a bright future that education provides. The green stalks at the base suggest growth, nature, and being "locally rooted" while aiming for global competence. Overall, the logo symbolises the school's commitment to providing a holistic education that empowers students with knowledge, enabling them to grow, thrive, and achieve personal liberation and excellence.

The emblem of the university has a motif of a pair of green flying birds motif supporting the acronym of the name and place of the university are placed in a circular orange vignette background. These are ensconced by a half white and half red border which bears the name of the university in English and Devanagari respectively. On a banner with orange tones, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सम्यक् दर्शन, सम्यक् ज्ञान, सम्यक् चारित्र' meaning ‘Right philosophy, Right knowledge, Right character’ is inscribed in black. The green flying bird symbols mean good luck, hope, joy, new beginnings, renewal and healing.

MANGALORE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mangalore University (MU) depicts its geography, history and tradition through a number of motifs. In the centre of a circle the motifs of rising sun above mountains and waterbody and trees are  placed representing the geography of the locale. It is ensconced by a yellow circular border on which its name is inscribed in Kannada and English. The circular seal is crested by a colourful headgear or ‘kirita’ of the famous folk dance form ‘Yakshagana’ and supported on either side by coffee plant branches with leaves and fruits for which the city and the State of Karnataka are famous for. At the bottom of the insignia, on a blue banner the motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಜ್ಞಾನವೇ-ಬೆಳಕು’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Light’ is inscribed.
