The emblem of Government Arts and Science College for Women, Kodaikanal (GASCW Kodai) features an orange shield housing an abstract image of the Palani Hills of the Western Ghats referring to the local geography; an open book referring to learning and education; an abstract human referring to the beneficiaries; and a mortarboard hat symbolising academic achievement and success. The shield is supported by five stars and a pair of laurels symbolising achievement, hard work, excellence and superiority; and surmounted by the motto of the college in Tamil ‘சிகரம் தொடு’ meaning ‘Reach the Summit’. The name of the college is written below the seal.
