The shield is supported by five stars and a pair of laurels symbolising achievement, hard work, excellence and superiority; and surmounted by the motto of the college in Tamil ‘சிகரம் தொடு’ meaning ‘Reach the Summit’. The name of the college is written below the seal.

The cyan, green and red emblem of the university has a plaque with rising sun above flowing waters supported by two palm trees and crested its motto in Arabic ‘طلب العلم فريضة’ meaning ‘Seeking Knowledge is an Obligation’.
