NO. 14 SQUADRON

The No. 14 Squadron Indian Air Force (Bulls), is a ground attack unit, operating out of IAF Ambala. The Squadron’s motto is ‘Balam Jayay’ meaning ‘Strength will Conquer’. This Squadron is also called ‘Bulls’ and its insignia has a bull in the centre. This squadron spent considerable part of their existence in Eastern India, first at Barrackpore Air Force Station, in the Calcutta suburbs and later at Kalaikunda, south-west of Calcutta. It was from this airbase they saw action, briefly during September 1965 and in December 1971. No. 14 Squadron had the unusual opportunity of being deployed at the captured PAF airbase of Jessore during the final stages of the Bangladesh war.

All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

AMITY UNIVERSITY RAJASTHAN The emblem of Amity University Rajasthan (AU R) has a shield divided into yellow and dark blue sections. The dark blue portion is a left to right upward sweeping stroke, bearing the name of the university. The yellow portion has a torch, the flame of which is written using its acronym. The shield has blue borderlines. The name and place of the university is written on the right side of the pictorial in classic serif font. The dark blue with contemporary cues of technology, performance and advancement strikes a synergy with the golden yellow radiance of tradition, culture and values. CENTRAL WATER COMMISSION The circular seal of the Central Water Commission has a five petalled flower with a water dam, a powerline on sea water, a borewell pump, plants of cereal and a high tension transmission line each placed inside a petal. The flower is placed in an orange circle and this assembly is ensconced by a yellow circular border, on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आपो ज्योति रसोऽमृतम’ meaning ‘May That Awakens Our Intelligence’ are inscribed. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey.
