The blue and gold emblem of M.P. Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) has a square slab on which a sun is placed in a white circle. Inside the sun a circle with a blue outline represents ‘O’. Below the slb its motto in Sanskrit ‘वाग्देवी तामुपाक्महे’ meaning ‘Offer to Goddess Saraswati’. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour gold denotes wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU The University of Jammu (UoJ) came into existence in 1969 through the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir. The circular emblem of the university has an open book supporting a lotus with a background of mountains and surmounted by atomic structure. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ on one side and its name in Kashmiri on the other side. The name of the university is written on A banner at the bottom.
