The blue and gold emblem of M.P. Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) has a square slab on which a sun is placed in a white circle. Inside the sun a circle with a blue outline represents ‘O’. Below the slb its motto in Sanskrit ‘वाग्देवी तामुपाक्महे’ meaning ‘Offer to Goddess Saraswati’. The sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour gold denotes wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.
