The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering and technology; and the multicolour banner refers to the diversity and depth of the stakeholders and beneficiaries of the college.
