AMMANSAMY MANGALYAM

Ammansamy Mangalyam is a traditional Indian sacred pendant or ornament, often gold-plated or gold, designed like a bridal mangalyam (thali / bottu), but specifically used as a devotional item for goddesses (Amman) in temples or homes, symbolizing divine blessings, protection, and marital auspiciousness for devotees, featuring designs of deities like Durga or Meenakshi. Unlike personal wedding thalis, these are for pooja (worship) and offerings to goddesses. They mimic bridal mangalyams but incorporate goddess figures (Amman), often with intricate carvings and black beads. This is made from base metal with gold plating or sometimes real gold (22k).
