The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Perumbakkam, Chennai (GASCP) features an image of Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram, an open book and an abstract human reaching for the star, ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. On a banner placed on the seal at the bottom the motto of the college ‘கனவு மெய்ப்பட வேண்டும்’ (Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathi) meaning ‘The Dream Must Come True’. The shore temple refers to the heritage and history of the place of the college; the human refers to the students and teachers aspiring to reach the star of knowledge and achievement; the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
