The emblem of Government Arts And Science College, Mettupalayam (GASCMTP) features the motifs of an open book, a bow and arrow with the nib of a pen, a microscope, a veena, a mountain range and a pair of laurels. These are ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘திறம்பட கல் உலகினை வெல்’ meaning ‘Study Effectively, Conquer the World’ is inscribed on a blue banner placed below the seal. The book refers to learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; the bow and arrow with a pen head symbolises intellectual strength, skill, focus, and purpose, representing divine power, readiness for battle, protection, and guidance; the microscope and veena refer to science and arts respectively, and the laurels are are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
