The emblem of Dr. Kalaignar Government Arts College, Kulithalai (DKGACKIT) features an image of Sri Kadambavaneswarar Temple and the motifs of a plantain tree, a traditional lamp and palm leaf manuscripts ensconced by a yellow circular banner inscribed with the name and place of the college. At the bottom, on a yellow banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவே உயர்வு’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Supreme’ is written. The temple refers to the local heritage and history and the blessings and guidance of the divine; the plantain tree symbolises fertility, prosperity, nourishment, and the cycle of life; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the palm leaf manuscripts refer to traditional knowledge, heritage, education, learning and wisdom.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
