The emblem of Government Arts and Science College for Women, Alangulam (GASC Alangulam) features the gopuram Apatsahayesvarar Temple, Alangudi or Guru Sthalam or Tiru Irum Poolai; an image of Courtallam Falls, a photo of a tractor and agricultural produce, and an open book in a circle ensconced by a red circle with the name of the college written around and supported by a blue banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவே அழிவற்ற செல்வம்’ and ‘Knowledge is Immortal Wealth’. The gopuram symbolises divine blessings and guidance; the waterfalls refer to the major tourist attraction; the tractor and produce denote agriculture and sustenance; and the book refers to knowledge, learning, education and wisdom.
