The emblem of Government Arts and Science College, Manapparai (GASCM) features a golden shield housing the motifs of a trophy, an open book, a torch with flame and a mortarboard hat supported by a pair of laurels. The name of the college is written at the bottom on a blue banner. The motto of the college in Tamil ‘அறிவே வெல்லும்’ meaning ‘Knowledge Will Prevail’ surmounts the shield. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the trophy symbolises hardwork, practice and success; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the torch with flame symbolises lame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the mortarboard hat or Oxford hat denotes educational achievement, equality, tradition and rights of passage; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
