PAAVAI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (PCE)

The predominantly blue colour seal of Paavai College of Engineering (PCE) features a blue circle with a temple gopuram crested by its initials ‘PEC and supported by the sacred Sri Chakra and Panchajanya symbolising divine blessings and benevolence. This blue circle is placed on a white circle ensconced by a gearwheel. The motifs of a building, a satellite dish antenna, a computer, an atomic structure; a transmission tower and an open book supporting a traditional lamp are placed on the white circle. Below the gearwheel, on a banner, the motto of the college ‘Prosper Conquer Excel’ is written. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the gear wheel refers to interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; other motifs refer to the branches of engineering taught in the college.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. 14 CORPS The 14 Corps of the Indian Army is a part of the Army’s Udhampur-based Northern Command. It was raised after the Kargil War in 1999, to control troops in Ladakh. It currently consists of 3rd Infantry Division. The division was created in October 1962 in Ladakh. It fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965. Until 1990, it was headquartered at Kohima under III Corps. It is headquartered at Kumbathang, near Kargil. The sleeve patch of this Corps is red horizontal striped patch intersected with a white stripe in the background with two crossed torches (Vajra) with trident at their ends and wand in the foreground.

BISWA BANGLA BISWABIDYALAY Biswa Bangla Biswabidyalay (BBB) was established in 2020 as a liberal arts university in Bolpur, West Bengal. This university is also known as Bolpur University or Biswa Bangla University. The emblem of the university has an open book with its acronym in Bengali written on it and crested by a blue circle depicting a human being and supported by the nib of a pen. All these are ensconced by a green circular border which carries its motto in Bengali ‘তামসো মা জ্যোতির্গময়ঃ’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ and its year of establishment.
