The emblem of Government College of Education, Pudukottai (GCE Pudukkottai) features the motifs of a lotus and a globe supported by a book of Thirukural and ensconced by a green circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college in Tamil. Below the seal, on a banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘முயற்சி திருவினை ஆக்கும்’ (616, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar) meaning ‘Effort Increases A Person's Wealth’ is inscribed. The lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the Thirukkural symbolises a comprehensive guide to life through three main pillars of Aram (virtue and morality), Porul (wealth and politics), and Inbam (love and pleasure).
