The seal is supported by a green banner inscribed with the motto of the college in Tamil ‘(கற்க கசடறக் கற்பவை கற்றபின்) நிற்க அதற்குத் தக’ (391, Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar)  meaning ‘(Learn what is worthy, free of impurities—from small faults to deeper inner stains;) Then live in a way that truly honors the knowledge you have gained’. Thiruvalluvar symbolises Tamil literature and poetry; the factory refers to the industries of the place; and the book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom.
